Need light for your bath or vanity room? Looking for the right lighting fixtures to install inside them?

There are tips and ways on how you could install lighting fixtures inside your bathroom. But before installing, consider the type of lighting that you would want to use for the bathroom, where you would want it to be placed, the type of fixture and finishes you wanted or thought of.

It is a must to understand the basic ideas of installing bathroom lights as it will help you brighten up the bathroom space and reduce the amount of its shadow. You could either have your bathroom light installed above the mirror, on the mirror itself, beside the mirror and your lighting could either be the decorative type or the recessed one.

Installing bathroom lights above the mirror could help lessen the shadows on one’s face but it could also cause or produce a glare. When you would want to install lights above your bathroom mirror, it is recommendable to use diffusers in order to prevent one from glaring.

Most recommendable type of light for this would be the sconce. The sconce light is a type of lighting fixture that is attached to the wall as its support.

Another option to install bathroom light would be on the mirror, but consider checking if the back part of it is fixed. If you’re the type of person who would want your bathroom light to be simple, this one would be the right one for you.

It may also be best to have your bathroom lighting installed on its ceiling as it brightens up the whole room, not just the mirror or the sides of your bathroom.

As for the lighting types, you could either have the recessed or the decorative ones. The recessed type of lighting are at its best when placed closer to the mirror as they provide a good light coverage and prevent any shadows whereas decorative lights should be kept away from the mirror as it may be obstructed.
